A Omega Speedmaster Professional “Apollo XI 1969 – Tribute to Astronauts”

Number 385 of the famous limited series of 1014 pieces, produced between 1969 and 1973.
This model is one of the most iconic Speedmasters ever made, created by Omega to celebrate the historic Apollo 11 Moon Landing.
Solid 18k gold case and dial (OM – Or Massif) featuring the Second Generation dial (Round O) and fitted with its original gold bracelet ref. 1116-575, delivered exclusively with this reference.
The bracelet is in excellent condition, very tight and fully original.
The only note to mention is the service bezel, most likely replaced during an official Omega service, as indicated by the red Omega service card visible in the photos.
To better understand the significance of this series:
• No. 1 and 2 were offered to the President and Vice President of the United States (they declined the gifts)
• No. 3–28 were presented on November 25, 1969 in Houston to 26 NASA astronauts
• No. 29–32 were given to Swiss politicians and leaders of the watch industry
• No. 33–1000 were released for public sale worldwide
• No. 1001–1008 were presented in 1972–73 to astronauts of the Apollo 14–17 missions
• No. 1009–1014 were given to various personalities
