Calatrava by Rolex.
Today we present a very old and extremely rare Rolex.
This is not the classic Oyster case, but a snap-back, Calatrava, coin-edge-shape case, reference 2318, with a 31 mm diameter—exactly the same size as the famous Patek Philippe Calatrava ref. 96.
Featuring a manual-wind movement, an ivory-patina dial with mirror-finish pink gold indices and blued leaf hands.
Originally signed only Swiss Made, the dial was later marked Fab. Suisse during the assembly process, indicating that the watch was destined for the French market.
